Eric Martin, the frontman of Mr. Big, comes to The Underground for an acoustic performance as a part of his ‘Unleashed and Unplugged’ tour. Accompanying Eric on guitar will be Dave Cotterill of Demon.
Tickets are available online now!
‘Eric Martin, the rock & soul-belting frontman for the band MR. BIG, began his career in the 80’s. He released 3 records: “Sucker for a Pretty Face” (Electra Records) with the Eric Martin Band, “Eric Martin” and “I’m Only Fooling Myself” (Capital Records) before teaming up with Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey and Paul Gilbert to form Mr. Big in 1989.
Over the next 30+ years, the band would enjoy enormous success with 10 studio albums, 12 live records, and numerous hit singles including the #1 hit “To Be With You”, “Just Take My Heart”, “Wild World”, “Superfantastic”, “Shine” among others. They also released two “Best Of” and the box set “Mr. Big Vault”. All combined, worldwide sales top the 10 million mark.
In 2024, during a break in touring with MR. BIG, Eric reunited with legendary guitarist Tak Matsumoto—having previously collaborated on the 2004 Platinum album “TMG” and a sold-out 20-city tour of Japan. The group, featuring Eric on vocals, bassist Jack Blades (Night Ranger/Damn Yankees) and drummer Matt Sorum (Guns & Roses, Velvet Revolver, The Cult) recorded a new album called “TMG2” and subsequent tour in Japan.
After years of successful world tours, MR. BIG will hang up their top hat and shoes for good, with four final shows in India and Japan in February 2025.
Eric Martin will continue to tour, staying “Alive & Kicking”, playing his hits and more, both acoustically and electrically, all over the world in 2025. After a spring tour with Tobias Sammet’s’ Avantasia in Europe, Eric joins Jeff Scott Soto in Brazil for the “Double Trouble Tour”, followed by the “Unleashed & Unplugged” UK acoustic tour with guitarist David Cotterill from Demon, and “Rock Legends” featuring Joe Lynn Turner, Paul Shortino and Marc Storace in the fall.’
